Our story begins with Sakiko. After her death in 2004, we created a website for her.
Our family is Japanese, American, Dutch, and German. The photos above are of Dennis and Marjonneke, Naomi and Barry, Sakiko, Maren and Byron, and Thambi (our late Labrador).
Barry had started writing his scientific articles under the name “Mook-Kanamori” even before Sakiko died. Dennis had picked up on this idea. And partly because the “Kanamori” family name was in danger of dying out in Japan, Dennis decided to change his name, legally, to Dennis Owen Mook-Kanamori.
This website is a way of sharing news of recent happenings, future events, and even a bit of more distant family history. We hope to update it regularly. We would like to hear from you. Byron’s address and contact numbers are on the last page.
