A Savannah surprise was the appearance of a long-lost second cousin. Betsee Parker had grown up with Bill, Melissa, and Hugh in Minnesota, but had since lost contact.
She lives in Virginia, but is also the owner of a castle in the far north of the Scottish Highlands. She invited us. And so… In August, Maren and Byron flew to Inverness, drove to Inverary for lunch with the Duke and Duchess of Argyle (through Betsee), and then spent three days at Ackergill Castle in Wick. We’re still talking about a fantastic visit.
