Layla (b.2012) in The Hague. Julien (b.2010), Daniel (b.2011), and Zerlina (b.2019) in Leiden.
Julien and Daniel are in the same bilingual middle school. Together they manage a small tennis racket stringing business. Soon we may have the classic tennis match: Julien/Daniel vs. Dennis/Barry, with Byron as chair umpire.
Layla is also in middle school. She keeps her parents busy with football (a lot), drums, and piano. Her goal is to become a member of the Dutch national football team!
Zerlina is our Valentine’s girl. 14 February. Her name comes from Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Sakiko sang the role of Zerlina). Now she is six, “as clever as clever” and thinks she’ll be six “forever and ever”.
