We thought that Japan 2019 had been “one of the trips of a lifetime”… But this one was better. Instead of two weeks, we had three. Our two rental cars allowed us to spend more time in smaller places. We hiked, explored local shops, and found neighborhood restaurants. And we avoided most of the usual tourist destinations.
